Our bilingual 4 1/2 year old

Ryan and Kail were watching the Olympics and they had been discussing China and speaking Chinese. A little while later a reporter came on and began interviewing Yao Ming. As soon as Yao starting speaking (in English), Kail shrieked with excitement and said, "Dad, I understand Chinese!" We always knew she was brilliant. . . . .

I am giggling as we speak, that is too funny! Last night Ella said she was a gymnast and was twirling around the room, what fun the olympics bring!

Please send Kail over to tutor my family!! We are having too many problems with our English to even think of grasping another language. We would do well under her talented linguistic tutalage. Are those even words? See, I rest my case.

Well I knew she was brilliant. We have had a lot of conversations on the way home from school. Pretty soon she will surpress me when it comes to knowledge. Hehe.....

That is quite an accomplishment. I've noticed in some of the interviews where the Chinese are speaking English, they gave them subtitles anyway. Even when they are understandable. So apparently the technicians at NBC don't speak enough Chinese.

I literally laughted out loud when I read that! That is too cute!! Braden wants me to sign him up for swimming and gymnastic, not at the YMCA, but at the Olympics. The olympics does such great things for our kids!

That is a cute story Kodi. Just love those olympics, keeping me up late at night and all. looks like you guys have had a happenin' summer of fun. Beach and camping, doesn't get better than that. One of these days I want a beach trip with you okay. Are you in school yet? Adlee started yesterday and it was a much awaited thing for her and I. I must be a bad mom! sure missed you at our last visit to AZ, Staci and I needed you at our Mama Mia extravaganza! We were laughing so hard and thought of the crazy old days! love ya girl

Hilarious. She really is a genius though, that Kail. I wouldn't be terribly surprised if she said that when he really WAS speaking Chinese.

Brian & I loved this posting. That is hilarious! I haven't checked your blog in forever. I look forward to keeping up on it now that we have our own. We think about you guys all the time. We always wish that we had gotten more time with you when we lived in L.A. Are you guys still in Palm Springs? How is Ryan's job going, is he still with Shea?

Later, Renee

That's too cute! I love the Olympics but I'm almost glad they're over so we can all get a good night's sleep. We stayed up way too late, way too many times, but we loved every minute of it. Your girls are so darling!
